The photos tell the story of the early rise.  I was really keen to see the glacier and the floating pieces of ice past the porthole fuelled the anticipation.

Sadly we saw from a distance as the captain put safety first and we made our way back from the damp and windy decks with sodden hopes.  Even being able to finally wear my alpaca Peruvian beanie from the earlier trip to Sth America didn’t totally compensate! 🤣

So all hope turned to seeing the Northern Lights in the evening………….not to be……..too foggy/cloudy or sleepy! 😁
